Benefits of the Morning-After Pill

The morning-after pill is commonly known as an emergency contraception. It is two large doses of hormones that are similar to the ones in the birth control pill. The first dose needs to be taken in the first 72 hours of unprotect intercourse, and the second dose is be taken 12 hours later.

The benefits of Morning-after pill are that it offers a second chance if you have had unprotected sex; it does not increase birth defects if taken by a woman who is already pregnant; it is also not dangerous to be used more than once. The pill is so effective that seven of every eight woemn who would have gotten pregnant will not become pregnant if they take the pills within 72 hours after sex.

Your argument is not really clear. Is it what is the best contraceptive or is it that it's ok to use them? the facts are good but there could be more overall. I personally have not use the morning after pill but you never know.

I disagree with the facts in the post the high doses in the pill can cause birth defects in pregnant woman, known as ectopic pregnancy. The high precentages of the hormones in the pill can cause health problems for women. The pill is an "emergency" contraception and shouldn't be used as a back up plan or reason to have unprotected sex.
